Burger

A burger, short for hamburger, is a sandwich consisting of a cooked patty of ground meat, typically beef, placed inside a sliced bun or bread. The patty is often grilled, fried, or broiled and can be served with various toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, and condiments like ketchup and mustard. While the classic burger features a beef patty, variations exist that include patties made from chicken, turkey, fish, vegetables, or legumes to cater to different dietary preferences. Burgers are commonly associated with fast food but can also be found in gourmet forms in restaurants and food trucks. The term “burger” can also refer to the entire sandwich or sometimes specifically to the meat patty itself, depending on the context.
